Asiago Roasted Tomatoes
Give tomatoes the VIP treatment by topping them with fresh herbs, crunchy breadcrumbs, and tangy IL Villaggio Asiago DOP.

Ingredients (Serves 4)

  • 6 small tomatoes, halved
  • 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 grated IL Villaggio Asiago DOP
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 Tbsp fresh parsley
  • 1 tsp fresh thyme
  • 1/2 tsp dried basil
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper

Instructions

Preheat oven to 375 F degrees.

In a small bowl combine breadcrumbs, IL Villaggio Asiago, garlic, parsley, thyme, basil, and olive oil. Stir well until combined. Season with salt and pepper, to taste.

Place tomatoes on a baking sheet, cut-side up. Spoon breadcrumb mixture onto the tomatoes, pressing down to compact the mixture. Transfer to oven and bake 15-20 minutes, or until breadcrumbs are golden brown.
